Francesca Seegy, child development specialist

How · My approach

Gentle, precise, and always together with you.

I observe how your child moves, find the next developmental step, and show you how to support it in everyday life.

What happens in a session

01

Observe

We start on the floor. I watch how your child lies, turns, reaches and moves, and I ask about everyday life at home.

02

Understand

Each milestone builds on the one before. I explain what I see, and which step your child is working on right now.

03

Practise at home

You leave with two or three things to do at home: ways to hold, carry, play and position your child.

What my work is based on

Three methods, one way of working

I combine methods I have trained in for many years. Parents do not need to know them. Professionals often want to.

First-Step®

For babies from birth to independent walking. Rooted in the Feldenkrais approach: learning through movement, at the baby's pace.

PäPKi®

Developmental and learning therapy that identifies early motor or sensory immaturity, and shows parents how it connects to posture, coordination and later development.

PEKiP®

Play and movement for the first year of life, in small groups with parents. Bonding, play and the senses.

In the press

The method, featured in the media

Two magazines have written about the First-Step® method and how it supports babies and their parents.

Alongside medicine, never instead of it

My work complements the care of your paediatrician, physiotherapist and occupational therapist. If I see something that needs a medical opinion, I tell you.

Where I work

In my studio in Kilchberg, in group rooms in Zurich and Bülach, or at your home.
